چکیده

Recent studies have demonstrated that 30% of the world’s population suffers anemia, half cases are related to iron deficiency, and most common treatment is use supplementation. In this framework, zinc determination from different dietary supplements was performed by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Concerning dissolution supplements, direct acid dissolution, wet digestion, microwave digestion (MW) techniques were used for sample preparation. The recovery results MW technique appropriate all with highest metal yields. Moreover, method validation parameters referred a linear range 0.1-4 mg L-1 regression coefficient (R2) 0.9998 ± 0.002, while it 0.01-1 (R2 = 0.9997 0.003). limit detection quantification values calculated as 0.03 0.09 0.01 0.02 zinc, respectively. accuracy evaluated % yield which, respectively, resulted in an oscillate 99.2% 102%, 99.4% 100.4% investigated supplements. precision determined intra-day inter-day relative standard deviation <2.0%.

[Determination of zinc in very small body hair samples by one-drop flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry].

A method for determination of zinc contents in very small samples of hair was developed in order to estimate the zinc concentration in the human body. All steps from weighing of samples to ashing and preparation of the test solution were done in a tube designed by us to prevent contamination and to improve handling. Zinc concentration was determined with flame atomic absorption spectrophotometr...

Development of ultrasound-assisted emulsification microextraction for the determination of trace zinc and copper by flame atomic absorption spectrometry

In this work, we developed a method based on ultrasound-assisted emulsification microextraction (USAEME) for the determination of zinc and copper by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). The method is based on the use of the organic solvent carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) as an extraction solvent. In order to obtain a high enrichment factor, the effect of different parameters affecting the c...

Determination of iron, manganese and zinc in water samples by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry after preconcentration with solid-phase extraction onto Ambersorb 572.

A solid-phase extraction method for the preconcentration of Fe, Mn and Zn on a column containing Ambersorb 572 has been developed, and the determination of Fe, Mn and Zn in water using a flame atomic absorption spectrophotometer (FAAS) has been performed. The optimum preconcentration parameters of the procedure have been determined. The effect of the pH, complexing agent, amount of adsorbent, f...
